Listen up! The Special Tactics Airsoft Team (S.T.A.T.) is looking for dedicated recruits. We take training very seriously and are staffed with experienced leaders. The majority of our members have attended basic squad tactics, and some of our members have attended TTP, MOUT, as well as the Gunfighter Class; some have taken them on several occasions. We played at Tolcom for years until it sadly closed and several of our members have attended national events such as Operation Pine Plains. We've been going strong for over two years and expect a lot from our recruits and members. Here are some of our requirements:
- Must be 16 or older(exceptions can be made based on experience and transportation situations). - Must attend a practice at least once a month. - Must obtain woodland BDUs and desert tri-color(DCU) during the recruitment period and ABU within six months of being a full member. - Must have personal transportation (no member holds the title of "caddy") - Must be able to play at the CQB Citadel (Worcester,Ma), Ground Zero Airsoft (Wolcott, Ct), and attend practices at our field in South Hampton, Ma. - Must have all required gear for those fields. - Must check the S.T.A.T. forums at least twice a week or call your superior. - Must have a US Military style AEG(M4, M249, M14, etc...) with at least 6 spare mid cap magazines -If you want to carry a pistol, it must be a US military model(M9, M1911, P226, MK23, USP .45, Glock 19) - Must have some type of molle load bearing equipment to carry mags, water, etc... -Must obtain a MICH 2002 or MICH 2001 helmet(replicas are okay), Comtac II style headset(replicas are okay), and medic pouch with EMT shears within 6 months after passing trial period
As you can see, we take ourselves very seriously. However, it is important that you understand that fun is a priority. It is our personal credo that the quiet ones are the ones to look out for, so we don't appreciate loudmouths or cheaters. We reserve the right to reject you for membership without explanation, and hold no hard feelings towards any particular person, but I must impress upon you that we are looking for very specific "types" of players. That doesn't mean we're looking for an expert, we just need someone who is moldable and has the right attitude.
For those of you who don't know me, I have attended all of the aformentioned classes. I have held leadership positions at various levels(company, platoon, squad, etc...) during several large games (Tears of the Sun, Eagle's Nest, among others) for the last 3 years. Through that time I have remained in command of S.T.A.T. (formerly The Undermanned Brigade); our new name is based on the Airforce Special Tactics teams which are comprised of Combat Controllers (CCs) and Para-Rescuemen (PJs). These teams go behind enemy lines to enact daring rescues, as well as locate and mark enemy positions for aircrafts. Bogey, who is our "First Shirt" is also on our command staff and needs no introduction, as many of you know him personally and as a player.

We still have room for more members. We're especially looking for people 18 years-old or older so we can have a full squad for Op. Climb to Glory at Ft. Drum in October. People under 18 are still welcome to apply for membership. Please read the 1st post thoroughly about our requirements before contacting us. Contact Scuba-Steve or me if you are interested.
